Jennifer Teague, Ph.D. is the Vice President, Standards Research and Planning at CSA Group. In this role she leads the Standards Research program to help strengthen existing standards through evidence, as well as explore new and emerging areas for future standards development. She also oversees the CSA Group Research Scholarships program, which supports graduate and undergraduate students in conducting research related to standards, and is leading the development of standards literacy modules that will help support a greater understanding of standards in academia and beyond.
Jennifer has over 20 years of experience in research and post-secondary education. Prior to joining CSA Group, Jennifer was an Assistant Professor of Biomechanics in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo where she conducted research in the areas of human anthropometry and in muscle and joint injury resulting from prolonged loading. She subsequently held Executive Director roles with York University and the University of Toronto, leading multi-stakeholder research programs, including Vision: Science to Applications (VISTA), a $120M program funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, and the Health Ecosphere project, a $37M program funded by FedDev Ontario. Jennifer has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as biomechanics, human anatomy, occupational health and safety, and biological signal processing.
Jennifer holds a M.Sc. and PhD from McMaster University in Human Biodynamics and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa.
