RICHMOND, BC At last nights Gala Awards of Excellence Ceremony hosted by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, CON-SPACE Communications Ltd., (TSX-VEN:CCB) was chosen for the Outstanding Business of the Year Award. On hand to accept the honor were the founding partners of CON-SPACE, Mr. James L Swanson, Chairman and Mr. Terence A Ibbetson, President.

The Outstanding Business of the Year Award is given to a business that has been an ongoing successful business entity in the City of Richmond for at least three years. CON-SPACE started in Richmond in 1991.
This award belongs to our employees, because they are the reason why CON-SPACE has been so successful, said Swanson at the conclusion of the acceptance speech.
The Company, which grew in sales by over 50% and profits by 275% in its year ended June 30, 2003, received substantial recognition for its contribution to the successful rescue of nine miners trapped underground last year in Pennsylvania. Its equipment was also used in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and after the Oklahoma City bombing. Over 1500 Rescue Teams are now equipped with CON-SPACE equipment.
