BEDEQUE, P.E.I. – RCMP in P.E.I. are investigating a collision involving a school bus carrying 26 children and say the driver of a pickup truck is expected to face charges.

They say the bus was stopped on Route 171 in Central Bedeque to allow children to exit at about 3:20 p.m. Thursday when it was struck from behind by a pickup truck.

None of the 26 children on board was injured. Both drivers were also not hurt in the accident.

Police are investigating, but say charges under the Highway Traffic Act are expected to be laid against the truck driver.
