One dead after collision between sedan, empty school bus south of London, Ont.

CENTRAL ELGIN, Ont. – Provincial police say one person is dead after a collision between a sedan and school bus that wasn’t carrying children in southern Ontario.

The crash happened on a rural road south of London, Ont., Thursday morning.

Police say the driver of the sedan is dead, and next of kin notification is currently underway.

The bus driver was assessed on the scene, but not taken to hospital.

OPP collision investigators were on their way to the scene.

Police say Highbury Avenue South will remain closed at Glanworth Drive and Ferguson Line while the investigation is completed.
