N.S. RCMP officer injured after out of control vehicle hits his SUV

FALL RIVER, N.S. – A Nova Scotia Mountie was injured when his SUV was hit by an out-of-control motorist at the scene of a separate collision.

RCMP say the officer was treated for minor injuries at hospital and released.

The Halifax district officer had responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy. 102 in Fall River near the Hwy. 118 interchange at 7:20 a.m. Sunday.

RCMP say a southbound vehicle lost control at a corner and hit the police SUV on the driver’s side.

The SUV’s roof lights were on, and the officer was inside.

RCMP say their probe is ongoing.
