FALL RIVER, N.S. – A Nova Scotia Mountie was injured when his SUV was hit by an out-of-control motorist at the scene of a separate collision.
RCMP say the officer was treated for minor injuries at hospital and released.
The Halifax district officer had responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy. 102 in Fall River near the Hwy. 118 interchange at 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
RCMP say a southbound vehicle lost control at a corner and hit the police SUV on the driver’s side.
The SUV’s roof lights were on, and the officer was inside.
RCMP say their probe is ongoing.
