Draeger Safety, Inc. Announces New Pac Ex 2 Monitor

January 2004 – – Pittsburgh, PA – – Draeger Safety, Inc., located in Pittsburgh, PA is pleased to introduce the Pac Ex 2 a compact and rugged hand-held, combustible gas and oxygen monitoring device. The new Draeger Pac Ex 2 instrument is simple and easy to operate. The Pac Ex 2 also features a clear, fully functional LCD concentration display with audible, visual, and vibrating alarms to provide personal protection. An optional sample pump allows for confined-space measurements. A unique application of the Pac Ex 2 Monitor is the ability to measure combustible gases in the 0-100 %LEL range, and the range of 0-25% Volume Oxygen. Covering these ranges, the Pac Ex 2 ideally measures for smaller leaks as well as larger concentrations that may be experienced in the oil & gas, petrochemical, utilities, mining and shipping industries. This new unit holds an extra long
battery life, lasting over 12 hours between charges and the rugged, RFI-protected housing guards against the environment. The first units are currently in production at the Draeger USA headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA.
