WorkSafe B-C says one window washer was killed in May and another injured in June when their extendable washing brushes contacted power lines.

WorkSafe says the worker killed in May was using a 30-foot water-fed pole brush while cleaning windows at a two-story building, and the brush hit an overhead power line, killing the window washer.

In June, WorkSafe says a window cleaner was working on a ladder while cleaning a five-storey building.

WorkSafe says the worker suffered serious injuries after coming down the ladder and their 33-foot telescopic pole brush hit an overhead conductor.
