Paula Campkin
As Vice President of Operations and Safety Centre of Excellence, Paula provides strategic leadership over the development of safety training and initiatives to reduce injury and illness in the Canadian oil & gas industry.

Prior to joining Energy Safety Canada in 2007, Paula gained valuable experience in the in the areas of human resources and environmental health & safety working in the oil and gas, construction and utilities sectors.

Paula holds a bachelor degree (BA) in psychology from the University of Calgary and an master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Haskayne School of Business. She also holds certificates in occupational health & safety from the University of Alberta and project management from SAIT.

Throughout her career, Paula has attained the following professional designations; Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM) and Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D). Paula served as a Governor on the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) from 2013 to 2017.

Paula is a founding member and Inaugural Chairperson of the Women in Occupational Health & Safety Society (WOHSS), an organization with the mission to foster the advancement of women working in health and safety in Alberta.


Manasi Koushik
As a seasoned executive with a passion for sustainability and process improvement, Manasi brings a wealth of experience to the top level of organizations. She have a proven track record of leading change and implementing effective strategies that drive both sustainability and business success. Her expertise combined with her understanding of engineering process efficiencies allows Manasi to develop solutions that are not only environmentally responsible but also drive operational efficiency and profitability.

Manasi has a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization and her communication skills ensure that complex concepts are clearly understood and embraced by executives, employees, and stakeholders. Manasi is a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive sustainable change and position organizations for long-term success. She is the Vice President, Sustainability, Quality & Community at Dexterra Group and holds a CRSP (Certified Registered Safety Professional), a Master of Business Administration and was named 2022 Top Women in Safety by Canadian Occupational Safety. She enjoys public speaking and has presented at the BCRSP’s NES Symposium and CANECT to name a few. Manasi have volunteered with organizations such as Junior Achievement Canada, BOMA Canada, Professional Engineers of Ontario and continues to volunteer with Threads of Life, My Safe Work and Rotary.
