MORRISTOWN, N.S. – Police say an eight-year-old Nova Scotia boy was flown to hospital in Halifax after being injured when the lawn tractor he was riding on tipped over.

RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Clarke says a 911 call came in at about 4 p.m. Sunday, indicating the boy was hurt in the accident near a home on Canaan Road in Morristown.

She says police and the boy’s parents provided first aid before paramedics arrived and treated the young boy.

He was then taken to a site near the home and flown by LifeFlight to Halifax.

Police did not provide any information on the nature of the boy’s injuries or his condition.
