SANTA FE, NM (June 18, 2003) The FH 40G family of advanced digital survey meters is designed for multiple radiation protection measurements. This represents a versatile, user-friendly radiation measurement system, which can be stand-alone or networked. The FH 40G is rugged, lightweight, fits snugly in-hand, and is easy to operate with large keys that enable users wearing gloves.

The FH 40 G is a wide range survey meter, suitable for nearly all measurement tasks arising in
radiation protection:

 Classic survey meter for personal radiation protection
 Stationary gamma dose rate meter
 System center with external probes for monitoring and detection.
 Simultaneous and discriminative gamma and neutron
measurement in mixed radiation fields, for x-ray/gamma dose rate and beta contamination, for the highly sensitive proof of artificial gamma radiation even in variable natural radiation fields
 System component in complex measurement systems

A rich choice of external probes can be connected to FH 40 G with cable. Readings from both the internal and external detectors are measured simultaneously! Examples where this may be very useful include:

 Neutron and gamma measurement
 Alpha/beta contamination and dose rate
 Local dose rate and 20 m under water

Upon connection of an external probe, the probe parameters are automatically read into the FH 40 G and the correct parameters are set. Separate alarms can be set by the user for both the internal and external detectors. Cable length between the FH-40G and detector may be up to 50 meters.

Some of the quality products offered by the Environmental Instruments include:
Stack gas monitors
Particulate/aerosol monitors
Radiation monitors
Ambient air monitors
Portable and fixed gas detection instruments
Water quality testing devices
