Worker in his 50s dies after being trapped under paving machine at cemetery

EDMONTON – A man has died in a workplace accident at an Edmonton cemetery.

Occupational Health and Safety says the man in his 50s died at the South Haven Cemetery on Thursday afternoon.

Global News reports the worker was trapped under a paving machine.

Emergency personnel could be seen trying to free the worker from under the machine, near the entrance sign of the cemetery.

It’s not known how he became trapped.
