Safety, Health, and Environmental work always involves other people, whether by assessing risks, determining safe work practices, ensuring safe work conditions, or even observing and evaluating individual work and recommending changes if needed. These people may include the executive leadership team, the employee population, fellow Safety Professionals, third-party contractors and partners, or even the general public; in many cases, our interactions and relationships with others can positively or negatively impact our effectiveness as Safety Professionals and our abilities to influence safe work conditions and safe work practices.
