Speaker bios

Kiran Kapoor is VP, Service Delivery with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), a health and safety association in Ontario that provides health & safety expertise, insight and solutions for creating healthy work environments to businesses, large and small, in the agriculture, service and manufacturing sectors.

Kiran is a senior leader focused on a data driven approach to strategy planning and execution to create long-term growth and value for customers, maximize results and fuel continuous improvement. She leads the Service Delivery division that is responsible for product development, marketing, communications as well as training and consulting service delivery.

Prior to her current role, she has worked in both the public and private sector focused on research and program evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and as a consultant building health and safety management systems.

Kiran completed her undergraduate honours degree in biology from McMaster University and her master’s degree in health science at the University of Toronto.  She has a keen interest in workplace inclusion, and how to build a culture that supports the transformation underway from traditional on-site working arrangements to remote/hybrid work.


Jennnifer Khan is the Vice President of Inclusive Diversity, People and Culture at EllisDon. Khan is a passionate, driven, inclusive leader that values different perspectives, collaboration and great listening skills. She is known for her ability to identify and implement effective change management strategies that align with organizational values to get results. She began her work in equity and social justice in 2019 as the Co-Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion committee at EllisDon. She serves on the Urban Land Institute Toronto (ULI) Management Committee, and as the Co-Chair ULI’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Reconciliation Council. Khan is also a Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI) Champion, participates in the Construction Association of Canada (CCA) anti-racism working group, and in discussions to advise government agencies on effective anti-racism and inclusion strategies.

Khan is guided by her core values that include family, kindness and creating connections to people and ideas. She has a reputation for operating with a people-first philosophy, acting with purpose, and challenging the status quo. Khan is also a mother of two boys and when she’s not working, you can find her travelling, hiking, or enjoying her time with family and friends.


Chantel Verbin is the Manager of Operations Procurement, Supply Chain at Pembina Pipeline Corporation, a leading energy transportation and midstream service provider that has been serving North America’s energy industry for more than 65 years. Chantel is known for her strengths in cross-functional collaboration and change management. She has a degree in International Business and Supply Chain Management from MacEwan University and began working in the energy industry in 2004. Chantel has held various roles in Supply Chain including Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Procurement and Contracts and has spent most of her career working closely with North American field operations. Core values to Chantel include integrity, accountability, safety, collaboration, and respect. Chantel has a strong customer focus and high-level responsiveness when it comes to supporting her clients.


Leslie Molin is the Market Segment Manager for Personal Safety at Levitt-Safety, Canada’s leading safety equipment supplier.

As a market segment manager Leslie is a subject matter expert in all things Personal Safety, working with vendors to bring the best-in-class safety products and solutions to the Canadian marketplace including an ever-growing selection of women specific PPE. Leslie has over 20+ years’ experience in the protective apparel arena. Prior to joining Levitt Safety, Leslie was the Canadian marketing lead for Cintas Canada with a focus on protective apparel both high visibility and flame resistant.

A resident of Brampton, Leslie is an avid biography reader and loves travelling.


Lora McMillan is a queer woman working with Ledcor Construction in their Toronto branch. She started her career as a carpenter and worked her way up as a Superintendent and eventually to a Project Director and working to establish the Special Projects division at Ledcor Toronto. Lora is a founding member for Ledcor’s Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Council, and a staunch advocate for inclusion within the construction industry.
