OHS Canada’s inaugural symposium, Marijuana in the Workplace, kicked off with great success at the International Centre in Toronto on February 21, 2018. The event provided a forum for senior safety professionals to gain insights on workplace implications presented by the legalization of marijuana. About 90 oh&s professionals, including directors of operations, human-resource planners, managers, joint health and safety committee members, supervisors and union representatives gathered at the symposium to understand fitness-for-duty issues, balance compliance and enforcement with employee privacy and how to implement an effective drug-testing policy to keep job sites safe.
