Small plane crash lands on frozen lake in eastern Manitoba, minor injuries

LITTLE GRAND RAPIDS, Man. – People were treated for minor injuries after a small plane crash-landed on ice short of the runway near a fly-in community northeast of Winnipeg.

The Amik Aviation Cessna Caravan 208-B went down Monday afternoon on Family Lake near Little Grand Rapids.

The plane had seven people on board, including the pilot. RCMP say everyone was transported to the Little Grand Rapids nursing station.

No one was seriously hurt.

Mounties and the Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
