— Improved Design and New High-tech Materials Improve Fit and Durability, Reduce Breathing Resistance
— Models Available With and Without Exhalation Valve for Wide Range of Applications

Smithfield, RI — Willson, one of the most respected names in respiratory protection, has introduced a new and improved line of SAF-T-FIT(r) PLUS disposable respirators. The line features a new, larger facepiece design to improve comfort and fit; new, more durable materials; and a larger, redesigned optional exhalation valve to facilitate faster evacuation of moist exhaled air. Models are available in all N, R, and P filter classes, featuring optional nuisance level organic vapor or acid gas filtration, to suit a wide range of applications.

“We’ve taken advantage of the availability of new, improved filtering materials to totally redesign this product line,” said Richard Sustello, VP Strategic Marketing for parent company, Bacou-Dalloz. “With its roomier, more comfortable facepiece, reduced breathing resistance, improved boomerang seal design and other improvements, this new SAF-T-FIT PLUS line can now be considered the premiere disposable respirator line on the market. And we’ve done it without sacrificing the economy essential to a disposable product.”

The SAF-T-FIT PLUS has a larger inner volume which increases wearer comfort and facilitates verbal communications. At the same time, the new facepiece design incorporates an increase in the surface area of the filtering media, thus improving performance and reducing breathing resistance.

New PVC material in the Boomerang Nose and Polo-face seals of the SAF-T-FIT PLUS line also enhances wearer comfort and improves fit, even when users perspire. An innovative design of the exhalation valve offers maximum frontal protection of the membrane while generating minimal exhalation resistance to improve user comfort.

SAF-T-FIT PLUS respirators are latex- and silicone-free. Most models are available in three color-coded sizes: small (red), medium/large (green) and extra-large (blue). All provide NIOSH Approved TC-84A-3745 protection in a wide range of applications, including textile, mining, construction, iron and steel work, auto body work, woodworking, agricultural and horticultural work, welding operations, and cutting and molding of metals.

Willson has provided respiratory protection around the world for over 100 years and was acquired by Dalloz Safety in 1989. In 2001 Dalloz joined with Bacou to form
the Bacou-Dalloz Group, the world leader in the design, manufacturing and sale of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The company employs about 6,700 people and operates 48 production facilities. Bacou-Dalloz provides unmatched head-to-toe protection through three strategic business segments: head protection (eye, hearing and respiratory), body protection (gloves, clothes and shoes) and fall protection. Bacou-Dalloz offers a full product range aimed at the manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, medical, public services and other sectors. Its products are available from its distributor partners worldwide.
