EXAIR’s new 3″ (8cm) Super Ion Air Knife removes static electricity from plastics, webs, printed materials and other product surfaces where dust, tearing, jamming or hazardous shocks are a problem. It provides a sheet of air to sweep surfaces clean of particles, dust and dirt, and is effective up to 20 feet away. Surface cleanliness (like syringes shown in the photo), production speeds and product quality can improve dramatically.

The 3″ Super Ion Air Knife produces a laminar sheet of airflow that floods an area or surface with static eliminating ions. It has been engineered to fit in tight spaces while providing excellent coverage, even if mounting close to the charged surface is not possible. The force of the 3″ Super Ion Air Knife can be adjusted from a “blast” to a “breeze” and requires less than 1 SCFM of compressed air at 5 PSIG for normal operation. The sound level is hard to detect at 50 dBA. The shockless design is UL Component Recognized to US and Canadian safety standards and has no moving parts to wear out. Many lengths up to 48″ are available from stock.

Applications include container and web cleaning, pre-paint dust removal, neutralizing plastics, bag opening, printing machinery, packaging operations and elimination of painful static electricity shocks. Prices start at $240.
