June 7, 2005, San Diego, California — SmarTrunk Systems introduces the new lower-cost ST-310 firmware-based multi-site roaming switch for those radio professionals needing a simple and economical way to create a multi-site roaming network. The ST-310 is a computer independent roaming switch, which simplifies and economizes the creation of a multi-site roaming system. The ST-310 supports all of our 3G features except the conference-calling feature (one time dynamic grouping). Other features such as Automatic Site Registration of users, Late-to-Join or Lost Radio Rejoin, radio caller ID w/dial back, secure speech, alpha numeric group tag display and conventional channel scan (for talk around) are supported. With just one ST-310 and associated links, ST-100 multiplexers, controllers and RF infrastructure for each channel, you can set up a complete multi-site roaming system at a total cost in the very low 5 figures, which represents an extremely significant cost savings over competitive systems.

The ST-310 can support up to 1000 users sharing 64 local and remote channels at up to 16 sites. Some of its features include the capability of remotely administering user database and profiles, addition or removal of hardware without system shut down, detailed traffic reports and 110/220 VAC or 12 VDC operation. Like other SmarTrunk products, the ST-310 can expand as your needs grow into the ST-510 LT, giving you a dispatch console, remote site telemetry and interoperability solutions.

SmarTrunk is sensitive to our users needs and have responded by creating more cost-effective options. We truly offer public safety and business/industrial users the ability to install the system thats right for them, and be able to add options as their needs demand, said Joe Baos, president of SmarTrunk Systems.

Added Baos, For those users that need voice services rivaling those available with current wireless phones (voice mail, call forwarding, call transfer, voice logging, detailed billing, general interest mailboxes and more), you can expand the ST-310 into a full ST-510, building upon your initial ST-310 investment.

Many times you can use your existing mobile radios and/or repeaters in your new SmarTrunk system also, so you save money on your initial investment as well, said Baos.
