Bacou-Dalloz launches 50 new best-in-class, “head-to-toe” safety products and “one-stop shopping” service capabilities
Chicago, IL, September 7, 2003 – On the eve of the 2003 National Safety Council Expo, Mike Moorefield, Senior Vice President of the Americas for Bacou-Dalloz, the industry leader in personal protective equipment, spoke to
a large group of key safety industry distributors at a reception held at the Chicago Athletic Association. He delivered the much-anticipated message that after the merger of Bacou USA, Bacou. S.A., and Dalloz Safety two years ago, the Bacou-Dalloz “Product Innovation Engine” is back, with over 50 new products introduced at the National Safety Council Expo.
Moorefield also took this opportunity to present the companys progress in providing one-stop-shopping services to its distributor partners. This major initiative, known as “Project 1”, is in direct response to the requests of many of the companys distributors to provide one vendor number,one point of contact, and consistency in every aspect of the companys interaction with distributors. Moorefield outlined the major elements of the project, and made the formal announcement that the new Bacou-Dalloz
central distribution facility, the largest in the world for a safety equipment manufacturer, will be located in central Ohio.
Distributors and end-users attending the event expressed enthusiasm for what they heard from Moorefield, many indicating that his words were eagerly anticipated and a welcome message to the industry. Moorefields speech was
followed by a cocktail reception where the companys 50 new products were previewed and presented to all attendees.
