Scott Health & Safety Wins Tyco Chairmans Award for Business Growth

Monroe, N.C. December 30, 2003 Scott Health & Safety was recently awarded the Tyco International, Ltd. Chairmans Award for Business Growth for Tycos 2003 fiscal year, which ended on September 30.

Tyco International presented five Chairmans Awards to Tyco strategic business units that have demonstrated excellence in various categories, distinguishing the businesses as top performers. At Tycos 2004 Leadership Meeting held in Orlando, Florida in late October, John McStravick, Vice President and General Manager for Scott Health & Safety, received the Business Growth award from Tyco Chairman and CEO Ed Breen. In presenting the award, Breen cited Scott Health & Safetys year over year sales growth of 30% as well as its sustained double-digit annual growth for eight consecutive years.

In receiving the Tyco Chairmans Award for Business Growth, McStravick stressed the contributions of Scotts employees. This award belongs to the employees of Scott Health & Safety who continuously demonstrate their dedication to building the best life support products money can buy, said McStravick. Our business continues to grow because of our employees unrelenting commitment to excellence, he stated.
