Arbin Personal Protection of Venlo in The Netherlands is the latest strategic acquisition by North Safety Products. As part of its strategy to build market share, North sought a company with respiratory products to complement the extensive product lines in the North family of companies. The acquisition of Arbin Personal Protection Equipment bolsters North Safetys respiratory product offering with a powered-air purifying respirator (PAPR) line and additional cartridge and filter manufacturing, including canisters for protection against chemical and biological agents. The Arbin organization and products will be consolidated into North Safety Products European Division over the next few months.

Mr. Claude L. Roberge, President & CEO, of North Safety Products Ltd. for Canada and Europe stated, In this time of consolidation, the acquisition of Arbin greatly enhances our ability to provide products suitable for use in numerous industrial applications.

John Greer, Vice President Marketing, North Safety Products Ltd. Canada added, the acquisition of Arbin is a natural fit in our overall respiratory product line strategy and enhances the air-purifying offering with PAPR products. This will also give North greater penetration into the European market.

Norths European headquarters is also conveniently headquartered in The Netherlands and will make it easier to work with North Safety Products world wide, said Jurriaan Suurenbroek, Sales and Marketing Director of Arbin. Manufacturing will remain in Venlo with sales, marketing and warehousing in Middleburg. Arbins name will change to North Safety Products.
