New Ty-Rite Lanyard from North Safety Products

May 11, 2005

Health & Safety

Montreal, QC 2005 The Ty-Rite lanyard was designed to tie back onto itself, an unsafe practice that the industry has preached about for years. The reason? Traditional snap hooks were not designed to withstand the fall forces that occur when the gate of the snap hook is loaded.

To make a tie-back lanyard that is safe, the North engineers first designed the first quad-locking carabiner, rated for tie-back use. No more looking for a lanyard and an anchor sling the Ty-Rite has it all, says Gabe Fusco, PEng, Product Manager, Fall Protection Products. The Ty-Rite is a fully adjustable, shock-absorbing lanyard which reduces the pieces a workers needs to carry to the job site.

The webbing has built-in wear indicators designed into the Ty-Rite for peace-of-mind and it also meets or exceeds CSA, ANSI and OSHA requirements.

North Safety Products, one of the worlds largest manufacturers of occupational health and safety products, offers a full range of quality personal protection equipment, including head, hearing, eye/face, respiratory, hand and fall protection, lockout/tagout, protective footwear and clothing, first aid, controlled environment, safety signage and traffic safety products.
