FRANKLIN,Pa.,U.S.A. – Jan. 6, 2014 (Press Release)

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announces its latest offering in the Miller AirCore ™ family of lightweight harnesses — the Miller AirCore™ Oil & Gas Harness.

This harness, designed specifically for the oil and gas industry, offers unique features to accommodate the fall protection needs of workers on drilling or service rigs and in oil fields.

Built strong for day-to-day wear and tear, this harness features an 18-in. extended back D-ring that provides an easy-to-reach attachment point for fall arrest and frees up the back D-ring for use as an additional connection point for fall arrest or rescue. The Miller AirCore Oil & Gas Harness is available with a Seat Sling, Bos’n Chair, or without a seat attachment to meet the exact needs of workers in the Oil and Gas industry.

The Miller AirCore Oil & Gas Harness also features customized lumbar padding for greater comfort and support; an improved cam buckle design; removable belt with leather guide for increased functionality, comfort and durability; lower rear lumbar D-ring that provides a restraint attachment point when needed; and an oversized ID tag for quick and easy harness size identification. Rated to 400 lbs. (141.8 kg) capacity, the harness meets OSHA 1926.502, ANSI A10.32, ANSI Z359.1 and CSA Z259.10-12 requirements. In addition, it has the same features — comfort, easy adjustability, light weight and stylish design — as the original Miller AirCore harness.

COMFORT:

Breathable, open-core padding technology has up to 30% less surface area than other padding used on the market and provides optimal air flow while reducing heat and moisture entrapment, keeping a worker drier and cooler. AirCore harnesses are designed with patented Miller DuraFlex ® stretchable webbing for greater flexibility and increased comfort.

EASY ADJUSTABILITY:

New cam buckles on the shoulder straps make vertical webbing adjustment the easiest of any harness on the market. Mating buckle chest and tongue buckle legs for easy donning.

LIGHT WEIGHT:

Materials and components selected to reduce fatigue for all-day endurance and increased productivity; 20% lighter in weight than similar competitive harnesses.

STYLISH DESIGN:

Webbing design creates an original and vibrant style and color for easy identification, greater visibility and increased safety.
