Major Brantford employer to receive Award for health and safety performance

WHAT: IAPA will honour Raymond Industrial Equipment Ltd., the Canadian arm of North Americas producer of electric forklifts and forklift trucks, Raymond Corporation, by presenting the company with IAPAs Level I Achievement Award, for outstanding health and safety performance.

WHO: Joseph Hodgson, Manager, Consulting Services Team, Burlington, will present, the IAPA developed and created Award, to the company. IAPA is a recognized leader, providing health and safety solutions. The association is Canadas largest workplace health and safety organization, representing over 47,000 Ontario employers with over 1.5 million employees in diverse industry sectors. The not-for-profit, organization provides award programs, classroom, in-plant and web-based training, consulting, information services, and forums and educational products for improved, workplace health and safety.

Reg Lewicki, Vice President & General Manager will receive the award for Raymond Industrial Equipment Ltd. The company, along with its parent company Raymond Corporation, is a leading provider of materials handling solutions that improve space utilization and productivity. With the implementation of health and safety initiatives, the company continues to show a record decline in the frequency of lost time injuries. Raymond Industrial Equipment Ltd. is listed as one of the areas top 25 employers.
