Smithfield, RI — Howard Leight will showcase its new VeriPRO real-world attenuation measurement technology at this year’s AIHce Expo on June 2-4, at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN. The company will occupy Booth #1001.

Developed in conjunction with the House Ear Institute (www.hei.org), VeriPRO measures real-world attenuation of unmodified earplugs and can be used as a means to improve individual employee training and enhance the overall effectiveness of hearing conservation programs.

With VeriPRO, safety managers can ensure employees are getting the most out of their hearing protection devices. Consisting of software package, audiometrically optimized headphones and special audio processor, VeriPRO can be used with any earplug model, and provides an excellent tool to improve both individual training, which studies have shown to be the most effective means of improving earplug attenuation, and overall hearing conservation program effectiveness.

Other featured products will include new Clarity multiple-use earplugs and Thunder T2HV Hi-Visibility earmuffs from Howard Leight.

Harnessing Bilsom Technology’s patented Sound Management Technology (SMT), the Howard Leight Clarity earplug improves worker safety and communication by blocking hazardous noise while allowing voice and signal frequencies to be heard more naturally.

The Clarity earplug delivers uniform attenuation that blocks low and medium frequency noise while enhancing the perception of higher voice and warning signal frequencies without distortion. Clarity’s low NRR of 21 dB provides ideal attenuation for workers exposed to low levels of hazardous noise, and minimizes the risk of overprotection in marginal noise environments.

When jobsites are outdoors at night or in inclement weather or anywhere in low light conditions, workers are exposed to increased safety hazards in addition to noise.

Howard Leight Thunder T2HV Hi-Visibility earmuffs incorporate high-visibility earcups and reflective headbands to provide visual protection, along with advanced noise blocking, to provide workers with a total solution for hearing protection and visibility, both day and night. Thunder T2HV’s dielectric design is ideal for miners, utility workers and others who work in electrical environments.
