Facility Expansion Completedat Miller Fall Protection (Bacou-Dalloz) in Franklin, PA

June 2006, Franklin, PA In less than 15 months, Miller Fall Protection (Bacou-Dalloz) transformed its former manufacturing and office site in Franklin, PA into a high-tech, state-of-the-art fall protection technology and training center.

In a dedication ceremony on June 21st, state and local officials joined Bacou-Dalloz executives and Miller employees for the official ribbon-cutting grand opening of the multi-million dollar expansion that has nearly doubled the size of the facility.

This grand opening marks several milestones for our company and the Franklin community,” said Steve Spotts, Vice President, Operations for Fall Protection, North America. Locally, our current employees, retired employees and neighbors joined us in celebrating the success and growth of a company that has been a cornerstone of the community for over 60 years. This expansion supports our employees dedication and commitment to quality product craftsmanship, innovative product development and professional training services to the personal protection equipment industry.

The new ISO 9001:2000-certified complex employs over 450 workers and provides additional room to grow and expand its manufacturing processes, enhance R&D and testing capabilities, and house a world-class, professional training center.

Venango County Commissioners listed the Miller/Bacou-Dalloz expansion among the top 10 major events in the county with Commissioner Sue Smith pointing out that the international designation will be a major benefit to the business climate in the region.
