Deb Canada today announced the launch of a new program, “Infection Control in the Workplace”, a global initiative developed by Deb Group Ltd. that will be launched in Canada October 1, 2008.

Infection Control in the Workplace, which highlights a six-step holistic approach towards “reducing risk through skin care” is supported by a new brand and visual identity; developed exclusively for the industrial and commercial markets.

Another world first and key component of the Infection Control Program is Deb InstantFOAM Alcohol Hand Sanitizer. Utilizing Deb’s unique foam-based alcohol formula, its sanitizing action kills 99.999% of many germs and bacteria that cause common illnesses in just 15 seconds. With no water required, the product can be used anywhere and is available in a range of sizes for use in different working environments.

According to Deb Canada, “The Infection Control Program is based on the Deb Skin Care System, which comprises of a complementary range of skin care products and support activities to help employers both implement and maintain effective hand hygiene. Studies show good hand hygiene practices can reduce illness, absenteeism and associated costs by up to 50%.”
