The Roundtable Event will take place at the Terminal City Club, from 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM.

BC Safety Charter Leadership Council members (signatories) and their guests will hear and share the accomplishments of the CEO strategy and formally enroll our new 2012 members.

Luncheon Keynote Speaker is Duncan Hawthorne, CEO of Bruce Power. Duncan is the visionary leader and catalyst behind the Ontario and Conference Board of Canada Charters.  Bruce Power Generating Station, located on the shores of Lake Huron, is the second largest nuclear complex in the world.

”We have made premium savings of six figures since embarking on our health & safety initiative to continually improve our performance,” says Derek Campbell, a Charter signatory and General Manager of Gate Gourmet YVR.

“This Charter represents commitment from industry and organizational leaders in British Columbia to create a culture and adopt practices that value health and safety. It is founded on the principle that the effective management of health and safety is essential to long term success, profitability and sustainability.”

By supporting the charter senior executives commit themselves to working towards the goal of being corporately sustainable and demonstrating leadership in their communities.

Twenty-two CEO’s and Senior Executives from around British Columbia signed-on to the landmark document, representing a commitment to lead and promote the highest level of health and safety culture within their organizations. The Charter is the first of its kind in the province and has garnered international attention from Ireland to New Zealand.
