A new burn treatment for 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns from KitCare Corporation

Toronto, ON AfterBURN Sterile Burn Dressings are the only burn dressings on the market for the treatment of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns.

AfterBURN Sterile Burn Dressings are made from a gel-saturated (96%), polished, non-woven, polyester dressing that draws heat away from the burn. This provides a cooling effect which lasts for up to eight hours. To enhance the cooling effect, dressings may also be pre-cooled.

AfterBURN Sterile Burn Dressings are designed to help relieve pain and help prevent the spread of burns caused by fire, explosion and chemical accidents. They are also effective in emergencies such as heat stroke, heat exhaustion and febrile convulsions.

Unlike cold packs and ice, AfterBURN Sterile Burn Dressings are ready for use instantly. The cooling action is caused by evaporation, eliminating the need for previous refrigeration. In addition, since ice and iced water are non-sterile, they increase the risk of infection, as well as being awkward to apply if the burn area is extensive. Unlike some treatments, AfterBURN Sterile Burn Dressings do not stick to a patients wound.
