Police called to workplace accident in Saskatoon, man later dies in hospital

SASKATOON – Police in Saskatoon say a man has died following an industrial accident.

Officers were called to a repair shop in the city’s north end Tuesday. They found a 61-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. The worker was taken to hospital, where he died a short time later.

No details have been provided on the type of work the man was doing.

Investigators with the province’s Occupational Health and Safety unit are looking into the death.
