FREDERICTON — New Brunswick Public Health has ordered nine Dollarama locations in the province to close for 48 hours because of possible workplace COVID-19 exposures.

The government said on Twitter Wednesday the stores are located between Oromocto and Edmundston.

New Brunswick says there is no risk to the public but that officials are ordering the stores closed so they can undergo a deep cleaning out of an abundance of caution.

Public Health did not provide details of the origin of the COVID-19 exposures.

On Wednesday, the province reported 19 new infections and one more death attributed to COVID-19.
