Occupational Health and Safety in Alberta is investigating separate fatal workplace accidents that occurred on the same day.

The provincial agency says a worker was killed Monday afternoon at a business in Leduc, south of Edmonton. The STARS air ambulance service says the death was the result of a fall. It says the worker was not taken to hospital, but no other details have been released.

The second accident happened near Grande Prairie, Alta., when a 37-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle.
