Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, WOHSS chair Stephanie Benay and vice-chair Shannon Bolger joined the Safe Zone podcast to shine a spotlight on the world of workplace health and safety in Canada, discussing women’s achievements and the movement towards equality.

The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is “Choose to Challenge.”

In this episode, Benay and Bolger respond to the following questions:

  • Can you outline the issues that women face in the occupational health and safety profession?
  • Are you seeing improvement in the areas identified? Why or why not?
  • What tips would you give OH&S professionals or workplace leaders in overcoming some of these areas of concern?
  • Can you describe about some of the current priorities and successes of WOHSS over the last five years?
