The National Safety Council saw an increase in the number of safety professionals attending this year’s NSC Congress and Expo, held in September at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

The event drew more than 15,000 safety, health and environmental professionals and distributors in 2019, including a 13 per cent increase in participants with “safety” in their job title and an 11 per cent increase in attendees whose primary area of expertise is safety management.

Those attending represented the U.S., Canada and 71 other countries across the globe.

“We would like to give a big thank you to all who attended this year’s NSC Congress and Expo,” said Lorraine Martin, president and CEO of the National Safety Council.

“With 1,100 exhibitors, more than 150 educational programs and numerous networking opportunities, we hope attendees at this year’s event walked away with new tools and insights to help make their workplaces safer.”
