Fine levied in electrocution

REGINA — Clint Farnham of Rock Hard Concrete Finishers received a $15,600 fine in November after being found guilty of failing to ensure all work was sufficiently and competently supervised.

The conviction relates to a December 17, 2007 incident near Southey, Saskatchewan. A Rock Hard Concrete crew was working under contract for Jeffrey and Donna Wilcocks when a worker came into contact with a metal-reinforced gas line and was electrocuted.

Jeffrey Wilcocks was fined $8,400 after pleading guilty to failing to ensure every exposed metal part of portable electrical equipment was supplied through a Class A ground fault circuit interrupter.
