THE CANADIAN REGISTRATION BOARD OF OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENISTS (CRBOH) ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF NEW OFFICERS AND THE EXAMINATION DATE AND LOCATIONS FOR 2007

Toronto, Ontario, June 23, 2006. Following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today in Toronto, Ontario, the Directorate of the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH) announced the appointment of Mr. Luc Hamelin, ROH (Quebec) and Ms. Anjanette (Anjie) M. Davis, ROH (Ontario), as President and Vice-President of the CRBOH, respectively, for 2006-2007. Also, Mr. Marshall Denhoff, ROH (Alberta) was appointed as Treasurer for 2006-2008.

In addition, the Directorate has set the date and locations for competency examinations for 2007. Candidates wishing to apply to challenge the competency examinations for Registered Occupational Hygienist(ROH) or Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist(ROHT), in either English or French, are asked to take note of the following date and locations:

Locations: Moncton, NB, Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON, Winnipeg, MB, Calgary, AB and Vancouver, BC

The Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists is a non-profit organization mandated to establish the norms for professional competence for registered occupational hygienists and occupational hygiene technologists across Canada. Registration with the CRBOH confers the right to use the designation Registered Occupational Hygienist ROH or Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist ROHT. This registration is widely recognized as an indicator of attainment and maintenance of a high standard of professional competence. The Board is comprised of close to 400 practitioners in Canada, as well as the United States and abroad. The CRBOH is committed to offering services in English and French, our official languages.
