Safety Marketing Services Announces Formation of the University of Safety Distribution


The newly created University of Safety Distribution (UoSD) provides employee developmental training for members of the Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA) and Safety Marketing Group (SMG).

BROOKSVILLE, FL — The University of Safety Distribution (UoSD) has been created by Safety Marketing Services to exclusively provide employee developmental training for members of the Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA), and Safety Marketing Group (SMG).

As a first step, company President, Wayne Johnson, has appointed Kim Vorreuter as VP of Sales and Market Development along with Ashley Price, Senior Project Administrator, to coordinate design, development and curriculum for the University of Safety Distribution.

SEDA, SMG and ISEA members have long desired one convenient location which can provide them with true 24/7/365 online training. Distributor members can select categorized positional training for Customer Service, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Administrative & Counter Personal and Managerial development. Utilizing our Learning Management Software, customer administrators can plan, track and report on employee training and development. Administration is simple, convenient and offers secure access to course content and delivery.

Our University recognizes the need for continuing and ongoing safety and human resource education and training for all employees in the Safety Equipment Distribution industry, with an ultimate goal of achieving higher levels of professionalism, improved customer consultation, and overall understanding of federal laws and regulations, says Wayne Johnson, UoSD President.

Manufacturer members of SEDA and SMG are invited to offer their product training programs to members and enjoy the benefits of concise positional training with comprehension testing to assure knowledge transfer and understanding. All manufacturer training is customized by SMS to assure that product knowledge, along with feature and benefit understanding, is delivered to the student in a simple, measurable and concise format.

Future offerings will include webinars, video conferencing and onsite hosted development training. In addition, plans are in development for QSSP & FOSH recertification and preprogram testing and development offered by SEDA.

Distributors may register to have live training sessions hosted in our extensive training center here in Brooksville where we can accommodate up to 48 students per session.
