Montreal 2007 North has been conducting a pilot project for the past year where a training trailer was installed and manned by PPE trainers on-site at one of the mining companys properties. The contractors and sub contractors are now sending their employees daily to this conveniently located training facility the first of a kind for this remote area. More than 20,000 workers are needed in the next 5 years in Northern Alberta and they will all need to be trained on PPE*.

North trainers developed a special curriculum in the applications for fall protection and confined space which are now recognized by OSSA**. North Safety trainers are also expert in all the other areas of PPE. As we roll this out, we feel that North Safety Products name will become synonymous with PPE Solutions, said Vern Metcalfe, Vice President & General Manager for Canada. In order to thrive in this business, a manufacturer must provide real time support for the products it sells. Buying PPE from manufacturers that dont provide proper training can be a risky practice. Due diligence and compliance have become significant issues since the passing of Bill C54.

North Safety Products has 3 other training centers – Montreal, Toronto and Edmonton while providing on-site training across the country as well.
