Montreal, QC 2005 The Ty-Rite lanyard was designed to tie back onto itself, an unsafe practice that the industry has preached about for years. The reason? Traditional snap hooks were not designed to withstand the fall forces that occur when the gate of the snap hook is loaded.

To make a tie-back lanyard that is safe, the North engineers first designed the first quad-locking carabiner, rated for tie-back use. No more looking for a lanyard and an anchor sling the Ty-Rite has it all, says Gabe Fusco, PEng, Product Manager, Fall Protection Products. The Ty-Rite is a fully adjustable, shock-absorbing lanyard which reduces the pieces a workers needs to carry to the job site.

The webbing has built-in wear indicators designed into the Ty-Rite for peace-of-mind and it also meets or exceeds CSA, ANSI and OSHA requirements.
