Pittsburgh, Pa., August 2012 – V-Gard Shade Visors for welding, cutting and brazing applications protect against damage from impact and infrared (IR) radiation, and are engineered for heavy-duty use. Available in either Shade 3 or Shade 5, as a visor or nitrometer, these molded visors meet requirements for EN166, ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2010 (for welding), and are certified to CSA Z94.3 (for shade).

The sides of the new general-purpose V-Gard Visors are contoured towards the face, for a closer fit and improved resistance to impact and splash hazards. Providing maximum UV protection, they are also available in increased thickness or extended coverage versions.

The 13 new V-Gard Accessory System face protection products, as well as those that are currently in the line, are specifically designed to work with MSA helmets. Renowned for quality, dependability and life-saving testimonials, the V-Gard helmet is the head protection choice of millions of workers world-wide.
