Capital Safety Group Announces Acquisition of Unique Concepts Ltd. of Winnipeg

Mississauga, Ont. January 10, 2006 Capital Safety Group Inc., the worlds leading manufacturer solely dedicated to the fall protection market, announces the acquisition of UCL (Unique Concepts Ltd), an international fall protection and confined space rescue equipment manufacturing company.
The acquisition of UCL, (a company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is expected to be completed in late January 2006, according to DBI-SALA Chief Executive Officer, Pat Velasco. Mr. Velasco notes that the acquisition is part of an aggressive growth strategy for the company, which previously announced the integration of SINCO, a safety netting manufacturer, in May 2005.

UCL Safety Systems began as Uni-Jet Industrial Pipe Services. Uni-Jet designed a new hoist system and when local Workplace Health & Safety approval and a patent were granted, UCL was incorporated.
