BCRSP Accredited to ISO/IEC 17024:2003 (Personal Certification Body)

Peter Lineen, CRSP, Chair, Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), is pleased to announce that the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) has granted ISO/IEC 17024:2003 (Personal Certification Body) accreditation to the BCRSP effective December 23, 2005.

Accreditation of a personnel certification body is the process of assessing and publicly recognizing the credibility, impartiality and technical competence of an organization’s personnel certification services.

The Standard Council of Canada’s (SCC) Personnel Certification Body Accreditation Program (PCBAP) is a means of demonstrating that the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals conforms to an accepted set of requirements.
