Doesn't the Canadian Charter apply only for Canadian citizens??? This seems to be an odd case as it is reported, I'm sure there are many factors that have not been reported that may shed a light on this situation. Migrant workers are needed because many Canadian labourers do not want to do that type of menial work. It would be nice to see able bodied welfare recipients get opportunities to do that work, why do we need to hire foreigners when we have folks unemployed. We may be too comfortable in our luxury!!!

It is about time someone challenged the discriminatory practices of the farmers! I have see a W5 expose on CBC about the infrigement of these workers' rights in the past and it is apalling to know this is allowed to happen in Canada.
