Who Should Take this Course?

Online H2S Recognition is designed for workers who may be at risk of coming in contact with H2S in their workplace. These workers require the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize potential H2S hazards, to take the appropriate precautions to avoid injury or death through exposure to H2S, and to engage in self-rescue and basic rescue and revival of others. This course is highly recommended for workers in the agricultural, shipping, mining and pulp and paper industries as well as paramedics, construction workers, transportation workers and waste management service personnel.


Course Format:

Online H2S Recognition is self-paced, with each lesson and module led by an experienced workplace safety training instructor, on video, who covers the course content in plain language. The instructor is supported by a number of multi-media tools, such as live action video sequences, photographs, animations, text and interactive 3D models that provide ‘virtual hands-on’ experience with gas detection and respiratory equipment. Participants will learn different rescue methods and the latest protocol for CPR. A printable certificate of completion will be provided on fulfillment of all course requirements.
