Online Gas Detector Training is designed for persons who may be required to perform monitoring and detection activities with a Gas Detector to ensure that they can perform their work duties in a safe and controlled manner in a confined space or potentially hazardous area. These individuals need the knowledge, skills and regular training that will allow them to maintain their proficiency in using a gas detector to the point that the use of such equipment becomes second nature in the field.
Course Format:
Online Gas Detector Training is self-paced, with each lesson and module led by an experienced workplace safety training instructor, on video, who covers the course content in plain language. The instructor is supported by a number of multi-media tools, such as instructor video sequences, photographs, animations, text and interactive 3D models that provide ‘virtual hands-on’ experience with a Gas Detector and a Detector Tube Device. A printable certificate of completion will be provided on fulfillment of all course requirements.
Course Objectives:
The online Gas Detector Training course has been developed to provide participants with a sound understanding of alarms, detection and different monitoring devices should you be required to detect a hazardous gas such as H2S. Participants will also learn the common operating guidelines for detector usage, how to zero, functionally test and reset peak values, as well as how to test a space with a detector tube device.
