
OHS Canada Certificate Course Series
- Who should take the Certificate Course Series?
- OHS Canada Certificate courses are designed for any worker, from frontline operational staff to supervisors, managers and support personnel, who may be required to perform their work duties in a safe and controlled manner in potentially dangerous work place conditions and situations.
- Our online Certificate Course Series provides learners with practical knowledge and skills needed to be able to work effectively and safely in hazardous situations.
- Why online courses?
- Courses have been designed for the active working adult and allow learners to train on the fly - at work or home.
- You can leave the course at any time and return to it later. The course will track your progress so you will not need to repeat sections you have already completed.
- Courses are designed for you to complete when you can. All Certificate courses will be open for a period of 4 weeks following registration.
- Certificate courses are accessible from any PC or laptop computer with a dial up modem or broadband connection and Internet Explorer 6 or higher. You will also require a small plug-in that the course will help you install.
- Certificate level courses cannot be run from MacIntosh computers.
- Certificate courses include built-in quizzes and other testing tools to ensure that learners understand the information presented.
- Printable certificates are issued automatically upon successful completion of a course.
- How long does it take to complete one of the courses?
- H2S Recognition requires 5.5 hours to complete, and includes all of the content provided in the Gas Detector and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) courses.
- Individually, the Gas Detector, SCBA and Fire Extinguisher courses each require 1.5 hours to complete.
