Course: EM1 Environmental Management

Diploma in Environmental Management

Environmental stewardship is increasingly accepted as a component of the occupational health and safety practitioner. However, few OSH practitioners have a practical basis for understanding the biological and sociological implications of 'environmental management'. This unique diploma introduces the foundational principles of environmental management practice, and prepares learners to move into more advanced environmental studies. The diploma consists of two course series: EM1 (Environmental Management 1) and EM2 (Environmental Management 2).

EM1 – provides a general overview of the nature and historical development of environmental concerns, and instructs the learner in the identification of major pollutants and their impact on the environment.
