OHS E-learning now offers two type of courses:
Diploma Courses >>
OHS Canada Diploma courses are designed for frontline workers, middle managers, government inspectors, safety and health committee members, safety practitioners, occupational health nurses, actuarial professionals, worker's compensation strategists, and industry leaders in human resource development. Diploma courses are competency-based with online testing to ensure accountability (assessment records are accessible to employees and managers). Printable certificates are issued automatically upon successful completion of a course. The online Diploma Courses provide learners with intellectual and practical skills required to identify, prioritize, and manage workplace risks. The courses are industry recognized by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and are part of a diploma course series in two universities.
Note: Courses are designed to be completed in three weeks, however individual completion will depend on prior knowledge or experience with the subject area and time devoted (the average time spent online per session in a course is 30 minutes).

Certificate Courses >>
OHS Canada Certificate courses are designed for any frontline worker, supervisor or manager who may be required to perform their work duties in a safe and controlled manner in potentially dangerous work place conditions and situations. The Certificate courses range from specialized, intensive training in how to recognize and respond to hydrogen sulfide gas, to the use of gas detectors and self-contained breathing apparatus that are common in many industrial settings, to more broadly applicable training in the use of fire extinguishers and related equipment that virtually every worker in every location needs to know. All of the Certificate courses employ a wide range of media elements from streamed video to interactive 3D models, designed to engage students and provide them with a high quality training experience. Upon successful completion of each course, a printable certificate of completion from OHS Canada is provided.
- H2S Recognition requires 5.5 hours to complete, and includes all of the content provided in Gas Detector and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certificate courses.
- Individually, the Gas Detector, SCBA and Fire Extinguisher courses each require 1.5 hours to complete.
- All courses will be open for a period of 4 weeks after registration.
