Course: BC45 Safety Management in a Bill C45 World

More than 10 years after the Westray Mine disaster, Bill C-45 was enacted in direct response to that tragedy. This course series includes two distinct components. The first is Bill C-45 from a lawyer’s perspective, and provides invaluable clarification on liability and accountability principles under the Criminal Code. The second component is a model for safety management in this C-45 environment. Combining 'best practices' and elements of emerging safety audit systems, it provides learners with a road map of the pieces that can mitigate risk and losses within the organization, and provide due diligence for corporate executives when fully implemented.
